Nobody's Baby But Mine; an Oldie, but a good read
Let me just start off by saying that I didn't expect this book to be a romance, like the ones that I jokingly pick for my mum. I thought it would be a feminist book, with the main character standing up for herself and her wanting of a family. Even though I was surprised at the romance in the book (and the setting in North Carolina), I liked the idea behind the story, the underlying message, "You just need someone who can fire you up." Now, this may not be the same message you get when reading it, but I could relate with the main character, being a science nerd who was never lucky in love (still am not, haha), but who wants to have someone there for them, with them. So, if you want to sink your teeth into an interesting romance, this may be the one for you.
